Do you ever ask God where were you?   I would love to share one of my recent messages from our home church, where I walked our congregation through a portion of 2 Chronicles. And for those listening chronologically, you will also hear previous guest Esther Lee from episode 222.  Please enjoy this message wherever it may find you today.

Message Notes

When we don’t know what to do, an ending allows for a new beginning.

“LORD, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. 2 Chronicles 20:6

Lord we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” 2 Chronicles 20:12b

You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.’” 2 Chronicles: 20:17

The first is a Reminder to Grieve What has happened in 2025.

‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’ 2 Chronicles 20:9 NIV

“Grief is real. It deserves space. It deserves to be named. And it deserves more than platitudes about silver linings or God’s mysterious ways.” Aubrey Sampson

What do you want to name today and truly grieve from 2025?  The power is not in us."Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s" God didn’t leave you in 2025.

“How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?” Psalm 13:1

When we don’t know what to do, an ending allows us to witness his presence.

Reflection Questions

  1. Grieve and then lament what has happened in 2025

  2. Ask God to show you where he was in 2025?
